Physiotherapist, Dry Needling, Pilates
Emily is a physiotherapist who holds both a Masters degree in Physiotherapy Studies and a Bachelors degree in Biomedical Science. Using skills learnt from both areas of study, she is able to draw on her detailed knowledge of anatomy and physiology during her practice as a physio. She always strives for the best possible outcome for her patient's and strongly believes that the multidisciplinary approach to health is important in achieving this.
Working closely with the Exercise Physiology team, Emily utilises manual therapy and dry needling techniques to provide a timely and comprehensive treatment plan for each patient. She takes time to get to know her patients specific and individual goals and enjoys working together towards them.
Emily has completed additional training in Rehabilitation Pilates and is excited to integrate this into the practice. She is able to provide both mat work and reformer programs individualised to each person’s specific injury and goals.
Emily has a particular interest in low back, pelvic pain and pre/post-natal musculoskeletal conditions. Using her knowledge of Pilates principles and equipment, Emily is able to provide a variety of exercise based therapies to address the underlying stability and motor control issues present in these conditions.
Having worked at Go2 since graduating university, Emily is familiar with all skill sets within the practice and is able to direct you to the treatment modality to provide the best result for you. By communicating within the team, Emily is able to keep all practitioners informed of your progress to truly integrate your treatment journey at Go2.
