Lauren Terrell

Practice Nurse

Professional Background

Lauren began her nursing career in 2017 after graduating from Central Queensland University with a Bachelor of Nursing Degree. Whilst in the final year of her degree she worked in a large GP practice as a Medical Administrator and carrying out AIN duties. After completion of her studies, Lauren then commenced employment for a GP practice as a Registered Nurse, thoroughly enjoying her time there, taking a particular interest in her paediatric clientele. Six months into her career Lauren was offered an opportunity to complete a Graduate Program at Queensland Children’s Hospital where she was able to build her clinical skills, knowledge and gain experience working on a fast paced, acute ward, specialising in Neurology, Neurosciences and Orthopaedics. Although she loved her line of work, Lauren had come to realise that shift work was taking a toll on her young family and the decision was made to pursue nursing role that allowed her the flexibility to be more present with her family.

Prior to starting her nursing studies, Lauren worked along side and closely with Defence Personnel across all services. She gained indispensable knowledge during her time in this position, making many life long friends the Army, Navy and Airforce. When Lauren saw a job opportunity pop up at Go2 Health, she jumped at the opportunity, excited to discover a clinic that provided essential support to ADF members and Veterans via a multi-modality and innovative approach. Lauren believes this is a unique opportunity for her to use both her gained clinical skills, previous Defence employment and personal experiences to positively impact the lives of both past and present members of the ADF.
