Sally Gollan

Practice Nurse

Professional Background

Sally is a born and bred Brisbanite whose first job was at a veterinary practice, where she found an avenue to express her healing nature. Following multiple years as a veterinary nurse, she discovered that she longed to transfer these skills in to helping people.

This led to her undertaking studies at the University of Queensland, completing a Bachelors’ Degree in Nursing in 2012. Once registered, she dove in to her graduate programme in Coronary Care at St Vincent’s Private Hospital. Her nursing skills were fostered in this critical and fast paced environment and she thrived on the ever-changing challenges she faced daily. After four years, she was granted the role of team leader and her enjoyment of mentoring and educating those around her was forged. This further led to her becoming part of the innovative medicine team and coordinating new and exciting treatment options for high risk patients.

While working in the specialty of mending broken hearts, she met her partner, a veteran himself. This began her journey with veteran care and sparked her passion for the care of service men and women. Eager for a change of pace and lifestyle, Sally decided to step away from hospital nursing and in to primary health care. This led her to become a practice nurse. With her personal experiences in hand and a sound foundation, Sally became a part of the GO2 Health team. She believes she can use her unique insight in to the needs of veterans and their families, to provide kind and compassionate support to clients. She is extremely excited about the GO2 Health mantra and being able to care for service men and women, both past and present. In her spare time she enjoys living a healthy and active life. She believes in the healing power of exercise, love for animals and being kind to others. She spends time with her step children, her two beagles and supporting her partner in his strongman competitions.
