Katherine is a dedicated Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Nursing from Queensland University of Technology. With extensive experience in General Practice across both metropolitan and regional settings, she has honed her skills in providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Her nursing journey began as an Assistant in Nursing, where she developed a strong foundation in holistic patient care and building therapeutic relationships with patients. Over the years, she has worked in various roles, including General Practices in Brisbane, Toowoomba, Gatton and Bundaberg, COVID-19 vaccination clinics and providing clinical support to fellow General Practice nurses.
Katherine is particularly passionate about chronic disease management and always strives to create personalised care plans that empower patients on their wellness journeys. Through experience, she has discovered that the General Practice setting is unique in its ability to offer nurses the opportunity to create meaningful relationships with patients and achieve better health outcomes. Known for her friendly demeanour, effective communication and ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams,Katherine is dedicated to fostering a supportive environment for both patients and colleagues.
Outside of work, she enjoys getting out in nature and loves tending to her ever-growing vegetable garden. Spending time with friends and family is also very important to Katherine, you’ll often find her catching up with loved ones over a cheese platter on the weekends
